Style 1173 - Folded Rubberized Woven Tape from Carded Glass Cloth

Recommended for applications such as boiler manholes and handholes, flange joint gaskets and similar uses to 600° F (316° C).

Manufactured from Allstate 1171 - woven, carded glass cloth coated on both sides with a heat-resistant binder. Easy to fold and 4 to 5 times more resilient than regular tacky cloths under same load. For better, safer and longer lasting seal.

'Folded Tapes' are constructed by building up layers of 1/16" glass cloth until the desired thickness is achieved.

Style 1174 - Tacky Tadpole Tape

Tapes should conform to surfaces easily, like ours does.

Typical Tadpole construction - no mysterious ingredients, just the most commonly used materials in tadpole tapes. A high-temp wrap goes over a core of soft fiberglass rope. The lip of the wrapping cloth extends to one side forming a flange. Secure the tape to the door frame with fasteners. The round portion of the tape is a cushion upon which the hatch is closed and forms a seal.
