Style 1171 Carded-Glass Tacky Cloths:

Wire Inserted and Non-Metallic (No Wire)

'Carded fiberglass' high temperature gaskets are recommended by boiler, pipe and coupling manufacturers and this is the material they're talking about. Our carded glass tacky cloths are made to exceed the performance of other glass or non-asbestos gasket cloths.

1171 is made from woven glass cloth, both sides coated with a heat resistant binder. It easily folds and typically retains 4 to 5 times more of the original tensile strength (compared to regular glass tacky cloths). They are better sealing, safer, longer-lasting and recommended for boiler manholes and handholes, flange joint gaskets and similar uses. To 600° F (316° C).

Style 1187 - EPDM

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene methylene terpolymer) is cured using a sulphur-based treatment which puts them in the 500° F operating range. EPDM is easy to work with.

This material is resistant to high as well as low temperatures and has good dielectric properties, resistance to animal and vegetable oils and water and steam (naturally).

EPDM has low resistance to petroleum based products.

Style 1165 - Vegetable Fiber

Vegetable Fiber Sheet Packing saturated with a glycerine glue. Impregnated and rendered insoluble by means of a tanning agent, formaldehyde.

This material is very flexible and is able to bend around a rod twice the diameter of the thickness of the material without cracking, breaking or excess marring of the surface.

Style 1500 - AFC

Our AFC is an industry-standard material for very-high temperature uses to 750° F. Combined with very good high-pressure properties (to 1450 PSI [300 PSI for saturated steam]), AFC is a high-performance product.

Excellent sealability, excellent chemical resistance, good creep relaxation, good general purpose sheet.

Style 1110 - Silicone Sponge

Our medium-density 1110 Silicone Sponge is a closed cell construction, providing a high temperature, low torque gasket material impervious to a wide range of media with excellent resistance to atmospheric attack.

Standard size sheets are 36" square and are always in stock. We can also join them to form continuous rolls.
